I’m going to break form today and get personal so, watch out! If you know me well, I’ve probably already told you this and, if I haven’t, I’m sorry. Keep reading for the full scoop.
We’re having a baby!
Above is the first sonogram picture, taken Oct. 3, 2007 at nearly 10 weeks.
Now, if you are good with math and calendars, you know that we’re due on May 1. We’re crazy excited and so are our girls and extended family. A couple months later (December 7), we went to a doctor with a better machine for some more pictures. Here are a couple more shots:
This, we knew, would be our chance to find out the gender of our child. Last time, we didn’t find out early and the anticipation nearly killed me. This time, Amy still didn’t want to know. After much pleading on my part, however, she relented.
It’s A Boy!
I know. You’re looking at that picture and wondering, “How can they tell?” I agree that it’s a tough sell but, of course, you have to trust the professionals, right? At 19 weeks, dude isn’t likely to be John Holmes or anything so, we trust the pros and move forward with the excitement of a son!
A son!
I love my daughters but there are things I’ve missed out on raising them that I will get to experience at last. Action figures, not dolls. Giant, metal, Tonka trucks. Transformers, not Barbies!
Anyway, back to the pics.
We had to go back for another look, last week. Again, everyone is healhy and we have the pictures to prove it:
That’s him at 23 weeks.
Oh, and are you still a little unsure if he is a he?
Take a look at this:
Ok. I admit that picture isn’t exactly helping my case but, again, I trust the professionals. They seemed to be certain as what we’re looking at there so, I am too.
That’s my son.
Coming soon to a world near you…
Names?…Congrats by the way. I haven’t been to the site for a while. I like Jonathan Michael Hart Jr. That way he can go by Mike if he wants.
No names to speak of for now.
Although, I was considering “Shatner” in order to guarantee that he’d be a total bad-ass.
