At home, I pretty much only play records. Especially as I’m away from home so much for work/commuting/ etc. So, I thought I’d share my weekend’s record playlist with all of you…
Enjoy.
Saturday Morning

The Band - Music From Big Pink
An all-time favorite. Had to play each side twice.

King Britt Presents Sylk 130: When The Funk Hits The Fan
This takes me back… Great stuff.

James Brown - Superbad
Funk for life.
Saturday Afternoon

Medeski Martin and Wood - The Dropper

Violent Femmes
I sometimes forget that this record is very much NOT G-Rated.

The J.J. Johnson Quintet - J.J. In Person!
That’s an original six-eye. Nat Adderly on Cornet! Great record.
Saturday Night

The Black Crowes - Amorica (and I had to share a shot of the white vinyl and label.
An amazing album… Definitely one of my top 20 from the 1990’s. The B-Side is absolutely amazing but the rock of the A-Side really sets it up.

Funkadelic - Maggot Brain
Killer album for nighttime chillin’.
Sunday Morning

XTC - Oranges & Lemons
Actually picked out this XTC Saturday night but I wasn’t feeling it. It worked better in the daylight.

Camper Van Beethoven - Key Lie Pie
Getting our 1989 on (though not deliberately.) My wife really likes the song “Pictures Of Matchstick Men.”
Sunday Afternoon

Smashing Pumpkins - Peel Sessions (EP)
Hell, it was halftime and this joint rocks!
Sunday Night

Phish - Lawn Boy
Love this one… And with that, Another weekend is in the books.
