Premier Issue

Welcome to the first edition of Skybals and Saxascrapers.  Certainly the
name doesn't tell you much so, I rely on the sub-title to clarify why it
is that we are here. "Various Musings and Essays" pretty much sums it up.
What else can I say to describe what I write these days?

I used to consider myself a poet.  Now I write prose or at least long
strings of words which resemble sentences and, hopefully, paragraphs.  I
also write song lyrics so, if anyone out there has a band that needs
words, I'm probably not your man; but I'd be flattered if you asked.

So again, you ask, "Why are we here?"

Most of these writings could possibly have found a home elsewhere on the
net but, there will likely not be a strong enough thread between them to
maintain a column anywhere.  I couldn't bear to see my words scattered
haphazardly across the internet with no sense of connectivity.  So that's
why we're here.  The only common umbrella for all of my writings is my
own.  I do intend to house some form of Guest column, perhaps regular
guests made up of my friends, adversaries and, other like-minded folks.

This site is about music but not any one band or genre.  This site is
about spirituality but not religion.  This site is about communication but
not about technology.  There will be no obscene rants here but I'd never
ask someone not to say "shit" if it's justified.  There will not be any
sex but perhaps a bit of lust and lots of love.

So, as I and eventually we, scratch out a little space here on the web,
please come back and check out what I (we) have to say; even if it's
really nothing at all.  Drop us a line if you like it, or if you don't.
And if you really hate what you see here...
well, try not to hurt my feelings.
