Stealthtext is a new application for UK cell phone customers that will allow you to send a message that automatically deletes itself after it has been read.

Of course, nothing is perfect. So, you wannabe spies or crooks out there beware, the messages are maintined by the vendor on a ‘secure’ server. (Just like our personal identity information, right?)

Well, the long dreamed-of holographic storage medium is becoming a reality. Maxell has broken through with an announcement that it has developed a technology that will, on a 5.25inch disc, store 1.6 TeraBytes of data with transfer rates as high as 120MB/s. In case you’re uncertain, thats big AND fast. Yowza.

The first implementation will be released in late 2006. It will hold a piddley 300GB and a sluggish transfer rate of 20 MB/s.
